Why hire an interior designer?

Anyone looking for professional help with a renovation or refurbishment will use an interior designer.  It’s not about bottomless budgets but equally it’s not about taking shortcuts, TV programmes can be misleading in this regard.

Interior designers understand how to use space to its best advantage, assist with colour guidance, product choices, produce mood boards, and find suitable furnishings and fittings.

An interior designer can help with designing something extra special as well as saving time and money by commanding trade discounts, negotiating good deals and this can very often pay for the designer’s fee in itself.

Brief

Every design starts with a design consultation, you will be visited in your property where we will briefly discuss your ideas in order to develop a concept which accurately reflects your personal taste and lifestyle.  It’s a great opportunity to put your mind at ease that you’ve hired the right person for the job.  We can discuss anything from furniture sourcing only right through to complete home design.

Initial consultations are chargable based on a project by project basis (within 20 mile radius of Wolverhampton) or with a video consultation.  Consultations are expected to last 1 – 1.5 hours.

Concept

Upon official appointment, a site survey will be carried out.  This information helps us to provide you with floor plans, so we can start working on your layout and provide a short presentation of initial ideas.  We welcome feedback from our client at this stage to ensure the success of the project as we engage together at this collaborative stage.

Presentation

Upon approval of the concept stage.  We will continue to develop the design concept preparing a full presentation.

This  covers everything for each room:  floor plan, electrical scheme, lighting, wall finish, ceiling finish, flooring, furniture, curtains/blinds, heating, storage, accessories, audio-visual, home network.  Kitchen units and appliances, bathroom suites, if required.  It all depends on which room is getting the special treatment.

The design for your renovation will include a presentation with 3D visualisations of the design, any final bespoke details and we will conclude with an itemised breakdown of costs in line with the clients agreed budget.  We make any adjustment accordingly before client sign-off

Interior Styling

An additional service we offer follows the completion of your project, we will style your interior to reflect your taste.  It brings the design concept to life adding the finishing touches.  Whether this is a private residence or a show home that your friends or clients will love.  Great in particular for show home projects, your customers will be able to visualise themselves living there
